Governor Robert Bentley on Tuesday will continue an Alabama tradition dating back more than 60 years when he officially grants a Thanksgiving pardon to Clyde the Turkey from the Bates Family Farm in Lowndes County.
The farm supplies Bates House of Turkey in Greenville.
The Bates family has provided the turkey to be pardoned every year since 1949.
The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Governor’s Mansion.
