Calhoun will face R.C. Hatch in the 2A regional semifinals at Alabama State University at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

When asked how he made this result happen, Calhoun head basketball coach Jim Hunter said, “We played four number one teams that got us prepared to do what we did tonight.”

Hunter said his Calhoun Tigers double-teamed Joshua Thomas for The Montgomery Academy because he accounted for up to 50 percent of their offense.

Jamarcus Davison led Calhoun with 22 point while Jakeem Davison scored 20 points.

Thomas scored 24 points for The Montgomery Academy.
