Shanavia Sellers is the new town/court clerk for White Hall.
Sellers was recently approved for the position by the White Hall Town Council at its regular July meeting held July 2 due to the Fourth of July holiday.

Sellers said she wanted the job because she was intrigued by political race for president and “being town clerk helps me to get involved and to help out with my community in a good way. You can’t just sit back and do nothing. Sometimes you’ve got to step up.”
Sellers is a resident of White Hall, who began her work for the town on July 16.

“I’m just looking forward to working with her,” said White Hall Mayor James Walker. “She is an extraordinary person, and I’m really looking forward to getting this whole town up and running very efficiently.”

Sellers was the only candidate for the position to provide a requested resume, according to Walker. She filled the position left vacant upon the resignation of former Town Clerk Bertha White.
