The Lowndes County Public Schools District Wide Spelling Bee that had been set for tonight, Thursday, Jan. 17, has been postponed to a later date due to weather.

Lowndes County School Superintendent Dr. Daniel Boyd confirmed the  event was postponed today. 

Luke Taylor III, director of special projects/federal projects for the Lowndes County Board of Education,  said a date is yet to be determined, but it will be  held when rescheduled at 5:30 p.m. at Lowndes County Middle School in Fort Deposit.
