The Calhoun School fell at home in a 2A Region 3 contest to New Brockton 28-0 Friday night, but the story of the game was the second half defense played by the Tigers, said Calhoun head football coach Bill Williamson.

“What was good… we were down 21-0 at the half, and they never substituted and it would have been so easy for them (his Tigers) to quit and all that kind of stuff, but we really got after them the second half,” Williamson said.

Williamson said Jamine Jordan and Jamarcus Davison stood out offensively.

He said Jordan had eight tackles on defense, Mykal Sanders had seven tackles and M. McMeans had four tackles.

Friday the Tigers will host Zion Chapel in another regional contest.
