The Lowndesboro Volunteer Fire Department is incorporated.

According to the minutes of the June 14 Lowndesboro Town Council meeting provided by Town Clerk Denae Lowe, Council member Dennis Blair reported the department is incorporated and that there are five certified fireman onboard.

Blair also reported that speeding through town has been reduced and patrol efforts will continue.
Mayor Rick Pate reported that meter reader Wynn Ellis was given a $2 per hour raise effective May 1.

Ellis was also to meet with General Electric concerning issues with the water well.

In the only actions taken, disbursements, the minutes of the May 10 meeting, and adjournment were unanimously approved.
