Gulley & Sons 12th annual Cookout drew a record number 2000 or move people from all over Lowndes County and the nation, according to Tyrone Gulley of Gulley & Sons.

“We received so many donations of bottled water, ice, paper plates and all of that,” said Tyrone Gulley of Gulley & Sons. “We had people stay late into the evening all weekend.”

The weekend-long event lasted an astounding four days and nights with people cooking all day every day.

Gulley added that family and friends are already making plans for next year’s event and hopes the cookout will entice a larger crowd in the future.
