A man has been arrested by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department in connection with the sexual assault of a seven-year-old child.

Michael Steven Hadden, 34, of Montgomery, was arrested during his residency in Lowndes County for sexual assault, 1st and sodomy, 1st, of a seven-year-old, according to Chief Investigator Derrick Maull.

Hadden was arrested at a Montgomery Chevron after police spoke with the child and the child’s mother confirming accusations from the Department of Human Resources (DHR), according to Maull.

Hadden is being held on a $500,000 bond.
