Local man arrested in connection with Montgomery murder

Montgomery police have arrested and charged Ellis Caldwell, 22, of Hayneville with murder in connection with a recent shooting at the Red Roof Inn on Carmichael Rd. in Montgomery.
Caldwell is believed to be connected to the murder of Stanley Liku, 29, of Ontario, Canada who was pronounced dead after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds on June 7. Police do not believe Caldwell to be the gunman.
No photo has been released of the suspect due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing case.
Caldwell is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $500,000 bond.
Montgomery Police confirmed that Retrabion Toles, 29, of Prattville has also been charged with capital murder in connection the shooting death of Liku.
On Monday, Toles, of 145 Beth Manor Drive in Prattville, turned himself in to the Montgomery Police Department. According to reports he is being held without bond.
