Looking forward to working in Lowndes County

Through the years of garnering an education and pursuing a career in journalism, I have always sought to absorb life’s experiences.

I did so by pursuing music, first as a hobby, then as a career, in spite of the limited likelihood for success.

Now I am able to rally and bring those various cultures together through my writing and a career as a newspaperman.

A majority of my life was spent in Birmingham, visiting Lowndes County whenever possible to spend time with family and friends.

When I felt there was little-to-no progress being made inside Jefferson County, I made the big move to Lowndes County hoping to finish my degree in Montgomery.

I moved to Braggs in January this year hoping to land an opportunity that allowed me to channel my creative ability, befriend members of the community and grant me with the self-satisfaction of a good-day’s work.

I found that career as a reporter for The Lowndes Signal.

Through the few weeks I have reported for Lowndes County, I have been greeted with nothing but positive feedback.

I have met with everyone from school faculty members, workers within various communities, city council members and a slew of neighbors.

This opportunity has produced new friendships with numerous people of many different cultures and backgrounds outside of what I once considered familiar.

I would like to thank each and every person I have already had the privilege of speaking with and those whom I have not personally met…yet.

Lowndes County is now my home and with your help I will continue reporting the facts for years to come.
