In Friday, Sept. 18 football action:
All three Lowndes County football teams were playing at home and all three fell to the visitors.
It was homecoming for Lowndes Academy against non-regional opponent Chambers Academy. The Rebels fell 44-24 to go 2-2, 1-1. The Class A Region 2 Rebels will next host region opponent South Choctaw this coming Friday.
Class 2A Region 3 Regional opponent, the Luverne Tigers, proved rude visitors to the Central Lions. Luverne defeated Central 33-0. Central, 0-4, 0-3, will travel this coming Friday to face non-regional opponent Autaugaville.
Class 2A Region 3 opponent Goshen proved rude visitors to the Calhoun Tigers. Goshen defeated Calhoun 36-8. Calhoun, 0-4,0-3, will travel to face non-regional opponent W.S. Neal this coming Friday.
