According to Darrell Self,headmaster for Lowndes Academy, and head football coach Dewayne Williams of The Calhoun School, there will be no football scrimmages or fall games in Lowndes County tonight, Friday, Aug. 22.
Self said Lowndes Academy was unable to secure an opponent for a planned scrimmage tonight, and Williams said Central cancelled the fall game between the Tigers and Lions that was slated for tonight.
All three teams will see action when the regular football season begins.
